The UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA ST. PETERSBURG, which is the first regional campus in Florida to achieve separate SACS accreditation, invites application to the following full-time, tenure-track position to begin August 10, 2009. While achieving its own unique identity, USF St. Petersburg remains a complementary part of a multi-institutional University of South Florida system, ranked among the premier research universities in the country. The College of Education at USF St. Petersburg, which is a candidate for national accreditation by the National Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (NCATE), while remaining fully accredited by NCATE under the umbrella of the USF system of institutions, offers innovative graduate and undergraduate degrees leading to initial certification and post-graduate certification, as well as post-graduate degrees designed to prepare education professionals. The College mission frames its research-based, interdisciplinary programs and emphasizes community engagement, ethical leadership, and social responsibility.
