Primary Duties:
This high school mathematics instructor is part of the instructional department that develops and coordinates the UNCSA high school mathematics curriculum. The instructor is responsible for teaching four (4) sections of high school mathematics courses. The teaching load could range from Algebra I to Advanced Placement Calculus and Advanced Placement Statistics.Responsibilities:
The instructor will help students individually outside of class as needed, assist in Math Center (drop-in tutoring center), attend faculty meetings, serve on faculty committees as appointed or elected, and fulfill other duties as assigned by the Dean of the High School Academic Program.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education/teaching, or a related field along with at least three years of experience teaching high school mathematics.
Experience teaching AP Statistics or a willingness to participate in training for the course.
Candidates currently enrolled in a master’s program will be considered.
